Text of Delmer's obituary, provenance unknown:

"Delmer O. Gasche, 74, of Wauseon, Ohio, died June 26, 2013, in his home.

He was born Oct. 14, 1938 in Henry County's Freedom Township, the son of Paul and Dorothy (Thrasher) Gasche. He married Fracita Brown on Sept. 20, 1967, in Des Moine, [sic] Wash., and she survives. A resident of the Morenci, Mich., area for 35 years, he moved to Wauseon in 2007.

Del drove a bookmobile for the King County Library in Seattle, Wash., and for the State Library of Ohio. He served as chauffeur for Dr. M.M. Bunker in Phoenix, Ariz., tested dairy herds in Northwest Ohio for the Dairy Herd Improvement Association, and was a staff writer for Farmland News of Archbold. He enjoyed internet chess and playing with Red Hot Pawn. He served in the Army Reserves, was a member of the First Congregational Church in Morenci and served on the pastor selection committee and board trustees for 10 years, and was a life member of the National Rifle Association.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one sister, Audrey Harmon of Wauseon, one niece, Rhonda (and Roy) VonDeylen; one nephew, Ronald (and Marcia) Harmon, two great-nieces, Ashley and Magan VonDeylen; and a great-nephew, Ryan VonDeylen.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bobby Gasche.

Services are planned at 2 p.m. Saturday at Short Funeral Home in Archbold, with Pastor Don Krieger officiating. Interment will follow in the Ottokee Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. Friday. Memorials are suggested to the First Congregational Church of Morenci or Community Health Professionals Hospice."
