Military = Korea & S. Viêt Nam. Rank at death = Captain, U.S. Army (reserves), a helicopter pilot. Age at death = 35 yrs. Donald Roy Navorska, Sr. was serving in S. Viêt Nam at the same time but did not know it until he returned home. He was able to escort Aunt Francis at William's funeral at Arlington National Cem. where WEE is buried.

Today, Arlington is organized as a county without any subordinate municipality within its borders.

Capt. Ebel #02297663 MOS: 1981 Rotary Wing Aviation Unit Commander.

When William arrived in Vietnam 30 July 1966, he was assigned to the 227th Assault Helicopter Battalion, 11th Aviation Group, 1st Calvary Division, USARV. He was aboard a helicopter that had mechanical failure that caused main rotor separation that caused the helicopter to crash in the vicinity of Highway 506, 18 kilometers south of Bong Son. His body was recovered and identified 27 September 1966 and cause of death was 3rd degree burns to the body when the helicopter crashed and burned.
William served his country for 14 years.
Survived by his wife, Florence Ebel and a daughter; Patricia J Ebel of Alabama and his mother; Frances A Ebel of Cleveland, Ohio.
