Karen, 73, Mendon, died at 11:00 p.m., at her son's residence.

She was the daughter of Nathan and Dorothy (McQueen) Smith. On Feb 15, 1958, she married Steven H. Shrock Sr., who preceded her in death.

Surviving are three sons: Steven Jr. (Tami), Versailles, Dave (Shelley), Celina, and Scott, Mendon; and three grandchildren: Damien Shrock, Houston, TX, Maggi Shrock, Versailles, and Noah Shrock, Celina.

She was retired from Huffy Manufacturing Company. She and her husband bred and raised Labrador retrievers for more than 30 years, and were the owners of Justlabradors.com. She was a member of The Lord's Church, Celina. She enjoyed gardening and loved all kinds of animals.

Graveside burial rites are with Pastor Steve Howell officiating.
