JOHN FASHBAUGH of Fulton Township Recorded in Volume I, page 185 Signed September 2, 1856 Probated August 20, 1859 Devises to his wife in lieu of dower, the use of the home farm of 160 acres, in township of Fulton, as long as sheremains his widow, at her death, farm is to go to the sons: DANIEL & JACOB B. FASHBAUGH to be charged with the payment of $500.00 to JOHN Q. & ELI B., my sons, (to each of them) and of $281 to each of my grandchildren: MARY ANN &ELIZABETH ANN FRAKER;- and if DANIEL W. shall died before death of my wife, the ELI P. shall take his place. '... Jacob B. Fashbaugh who departed this life Nov. 8, 1892 at his late home on Front St. ... cancer of the liver ... born in Lawrence Township, Tuscarawas Co., O. June 5th, 1834 ... The most of his life, or about 48 years, has been spentin and around Delta ... About the year 1851 Mr. Fashbaugh was united in marriage to Miss Charity A. Cole by whom five children were born of whom four remain with us ... death taking her away from the scene ... our brother took again untohimself another wife in the person of Miss Marian Batdorf [21 Sep 1865] ... The funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church on Sabbath, Nov. 13, 1892 at 2 p.m. conducted by the pastor W. W. Tait, who preached from Acts vi, 12.After the service, the Masonic and G. A. R. fraternities took charge of his remains ...'
