A. Stewart Shauck

A. Stewart Shauck, husband of Mrs. Sue Alwood Shauck, died at 10:15 p.m. Monday at his Spring Grove R.D. 1 home. He had been ill for nine months.

He was 64 and was a son of the late Adam and Annie Krebs Shauck, Glenville.

Also surviving are a son, Jean H. Shauck, Wrightsville; two grandchildren; and a brother, Russell M. Shauck, York.
He was a member of Mt. Zion United Church of Christ and the Sunday school at Spring Grove.

He retired in 1971 from the P. H. Glatfelter Co. where he had worked for 37 years. He was a member of the firm's Quarter Century Club, the Friendship Hose Co., Spring Grove, the Firemen's Relief Association, Patmos Lodge No. 348, F and AM, Hanover; the Harrisburg Consistory; Tall Cedars of Lebanon Forest No. 30, York; Knights of Malta, York; Moose Lodge 227, Hanover, and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 1406, Hanover.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Sauter Funeral Home, 175 North Main Street, Spring Grove. His pastor, the Rev. Morgan R. W. Andreas, will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Masonic services will be conducted Wednesday at 8:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
