Notes about Florina Marie Boisvert

Florina worked in the Farr Alpaca Mill as an industrial nurse. The mill was located on the canal, only a few blocks north of her home in South Holyoke. The family moved to Willimansett and became next-door neighbors to the Lavallee family. Before she married, she enjoyed toe dancing and ballet. She played the piano and was an accomplished seamstress. She was known by the nickname "Frieda", a name given to her by her part-German mother-in-law. Both the Lavallee and the Boisvert families used this name until her death.
