Notes about Edward Charles Sutten

Why was Ed treated so badly by the family? What happened to Clifford?

1920 Census: Louise Rose - I believe Louise lived with Ed at 235 Lawrence Ave Hasbrouck Hts in the upstairs apartment. I remember meeting her when I was very young and she died not too long after. I know she was related somehow to Ed. Possibly his Aunt. Need to find the name Louise and her husband, surname Rose.

Ed looks so much like Olive Sutten (to me), WHAT is the illegitimacy? - Sara spoke of a time that Dad told her about, he and Ed went to some kind of a family gathering and Ed was not allowed to walk in the front door, he had to enter through the back or kitchen door. He was treated very badly by most of the family, only my grandfather accepted him for who he was. I loved Ed, he was such a gentle person and always seemed to have a sadness about him.

WHO IS CLIFFORD? SEE POSTCARD WITH ROBERT MONTGOMER ON HORSEBACK - ALSO CEMETERY INFORMATION LISTS A CLIFFORD SUTTEN, A BABY. There are records of Clifford buried near Ed.
