Notes about Charles Edward Sutten

Hi Barb, Dec, 2016

After, with help from a great German genealogist, I got the record you requested, I asked out tour leaders what book would help you with research. They are publishers and have a store in the hotel during the conference. They immediately found the book for the area that your record came from. I also understand that somewhere on Family Search there are letters prepared which help you request records. If you can find them, perhaps your cousin who speaks and writes German, can help you. I know that some areas of German have great records going back quite a way.
Good luck.Merry Christmas,Cathy
Also 2016:

Chatham St, NY - also listed on marriage certificate - saw somewhere else....

Charles (Karl/Carl) Edward Sotte/Sutten - CIVIL WAR PENSION - possibly he was receiving his father's pension from the civil war - that's why his DOB doesn't match the dates of the war. ("The last living child of a Civil War veteran, Irene Triplett still receives a monthly pension from the federal government. Irene Triplett, 84, receives a $73.13 monthly pension payment from the Department of Veteran Affairs every month. It's for her father's military service—in the American Civil War."
Military index card - 29041 - what is that?

Someone in my family mentioned that Charles was Anti-semitic - I believe it was Sara.
