July 1801 - Henry Newgin being charged with having dirtied the Court House on the night of the 7th instant, on contempt of the court, appeared and being sworn says he is in no manner guilty of said charge. (Clark County Book of Common Pleas 1801-1808" Clark County, Indiana)
