Kathleen A. McShane, known affectionately as Kay or Katie, passed away peacefully at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg at the age of 79.

She was born on May 14, 1930, in Toledo, Ohio, to John McShane and Sarah McManus McShane of County Tyrone, Ireland.

She retired from the Buckeye Cable system.

Kathleen loved to garden and was a member of the Maumee Garden Club. She was a member of the Historic Church of Saint Patrick, and loved the music of her Irish heritage.

Kathleen is survived by her loving twin sister, Mary Douglass of Angola, Indiana; nephews, Michael Carlucci and James (Vicki) McShane; nieces, Colleen (Marty) Jones, Maureen (Jeff) Marx, Kathleen (Ray) Poland, Diane (Greg) Sult, Eileen (Ricky) Frost, Judy (Keith) Vosburgh, Doreen (Art) Stanton, Sheila (Joel) Lash; as well as a large extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother and sister-in-law, James and Mary McShane; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Victor Long, and brother-in-law, Joseph Douglass.
