Margaret Rose "Peggy" Kane (nee O'Neill), 85, died at home following a brief illness on Sunday, July 6, 2014.

Margaret was born and raised in Jersey City, N.J. After graduating from St. Michael High School, she was employed at Jersey City Medical Center. She married her love, Michael Joseph Kane, in 1953. They remained in Jersey City, where they raised their five children until 1970, when they made their new home in Rutherford, N.J.

Margaret was a devoted wife and loving mother. One of the greatest joys of her life was her eight grandchildren; she had a special relationship with each of them.

Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Michael J. Kane (2012). She is survived by her children, Patricia and her husband, Gary Parks, Maureen Kane, Peggy and her husband, Joseph Keating, Jean Marie and her husband, Brian Mc Carthy, and Michael Kane, and her grandchildren; Brian, Alison, Joseph, Michael, Grace, Liam, Matthew, and Dylan. She leaves behind her loving sister, Dorothy Mc Crohan. She will be greatly missed by the Kane and McCrohan families, as well as her cherished friends.
