Betsie. Haar naam werd al snel veranderd in Zus. Geboren op 1 december 1929. Zus kreeg verkering maar koos ervoor om eerst te onderzoeken of het zusterschap haar diepere wens was. En dat bleek. Ze trad als zuster Martina toe tot de congregatie van de Zusters van het Heilig Hart op de Koningshof in 1956. In september 1965 vertrok ze voor 11 jaar naar Finland om er te werken in een huis voor studerende meisjes. Ze werd teruggeroepen om in Nederland in het bestuur te gaan zitten en heeft in Eindhoven in 2 zusterhuizen gewoond. In 1995 verhuisde ze naar het Bernadetteklooster te Rosmalen. Daar woont en werkt ze met haar goede vriendin Zuster Desi die ze al in het Koningshof heeft leren kennen.
