Boerderij De Leeuwenhof, ook wel Carissenhof genoemd, was gelegen aan het Eikelenbosserveld, tussen De Weijl en De Wijnenhof, op het huidige adres Leeuwerweg 12. De Leeuwenhof behoorde tot de oudste en grootste boerderijen van Melderslo en Eikelenbos. Aan het begin van de jaren zeventig van de twintigste eeuw is de boerderij afgebroken. Reeds in de vijftiende eeuw is in een cijnsboek sprake van een Henr. Lewen die een boerderij aan de Eikelenbos bewoont. De eigenaren van De Leeuwenhof behoorden tot de rijkste en aanzienlijkste inwoners van Melderslo en Eikelenbos. In de negentiende eeuw waren de families Crooijmans en Heldens lang eigenaars van de Leeuwenhof. Dat de eigenaars toen nog altijd tot de rijkste boeren van Melderslo en Eikelenbos behoorden blijkt bijvoorbeeld uit het feit dat Pieter Crooijmans in 1845 één van de 102 inwoners van de gemeente Horst was, die zoveeel belasting dienden te betalen dat ze gerechtigd waren te stemmen voor de benoeming van kiezers van de Provinciale Staten. Hij deelde dit recht met slechts vier andere inwoners van Melderslo en Eikelenbos. (GAH inv. nr. 6163)
