Bertha had 10 children. Divorced about 1920. she raised remaining children alone after Mathilda (Tillie) and August (Gussie) died.
Cleaned houses, washed, ironed (a domestic)
She and husband met at dance hall at Cedar and Adams. She worked for Mrs. Trompeter across the street.
She and husband lived at 1605 S. Washington St, later on Second St. and in later years, alternately with daughter, Della and son, George.
Died in Washington, IL at Washington Nursing Home a year after entering there.

Enjoyed crocheting, bingo, tv, family. Well loved.
