IN 1870 CENSUS, CALLED MATT, HAD APPEARED IN FAMILY RECORDS AS MATTHEW. IN 1880 CENSUS, NOTATIONS APPEARED THAT HE WAS 22 YEARS OLD, UNEMPLOYED FOR 12 MONTHS, FATHER, PETER, WAS DEAD. STATED ALSO THAT HE HAD "DUMB AGUE" HE WAS LISTED LAST, AS THOUGH HE WAS THE YOUNGEST CHILD OR CHRONICALLY ILL.
