      Leopold V van Oostenrijk (?, 1157 - Graz, 31 december 1194) was een zoon van hertog Hendrik II Jasormirgott van Oostenrijk en Theodora Komnena. Hij was hertog van Oostenrijk van 1177 tot 1194 in opvolging van zijn vader. In 1192 werd hij ook hertog van Stiermarken, door erfenis. Hij nam deel aan de derde kruistocht. Tijdens deze kruistocht kreeg hij ruzie met de Engelse koning Richard Leeuwenhart. Toen Richard Leeuwenhart op de terugweg was, werd hij gevangengenomen door mannen van Leopold V. De Babenberger sloot Leeuwenhart op in een burcht in Dürnstein en liet hem pas vrij na een grote som losgeld te hebben ontvangen.

      Hij huwde met Helena van Hongarije, de dochter van koning Géza II van Hongarije en had volgende kinderen:
      - Frederik I van Oostenrijk (-1198)
      - Leopold VI van Oostenrijk (1176-1230)
      - Agnes.
