      Maria van Gelre (Grave 17 januari tussen 1429 en 1434 \endash Roxburgh Castle, Edinburgh 1 december 1463) was de vrouw van koning Jacobus II van Schotland en regentes (1460 \endash 1463) voor haar zoon Jacobus III. Zij was een dochter van Arnold van Egmond, hertog van Gelre en Katharina van Kleef.

      Op 3 juli 1449 huwde zij in Holyrood Abbey in Edinburgh met Jacobus II van Schotland. Zij kregen acht kinderen. Na de dood van haar man werd zij regentes voor haar minderjarige zoon Jacobus III. Zij stond sterk onder invloed van bisschop James Kennedy van Saint Andrews en hertog Filips de Goede van Bourgondië.

      Maria stichtte in Edinburgh de Trinity College Church, waar zij ook begraven werd. In 1848 werd zij herbegraven in Holyrood Abbey.
