Op 20 mei 1761 kochten Gerrit van Arler, meester schoenmaker en zijn vrouw Elisabeth Withoos van Evert Koppe, banketbakker en diens vrouw Anna van Burgstede een huis in de Langestraat bij de Vismarkt in Amersfoort. Aan de rechterzijde belend op de hoek van de Vismarkt door Jan van Assenrade, wieldraijer, en aan de andere zijde door de bakker Johannes van Birkhove. Tevens leenden zij 500 gulden van het echtpaar Koppe Van Burgstede (Bron: Notariële archieven Amersfoort).


 


Op 10 augustus 1771 leenden Gerrit Arler en Elisabeth Withoos van Wilhelmina van Bemmel 399 gulden en 19 stuivers. Als onderpand diende hun huis aan de Langestraat "omtrent de Vismarkt" (Bron: : Notariële archieven Amersfoort).
