Anthonij de Boer schipper, Jacob Tobias Wedde stuurman, Dirk Janssen kok en Jan Mooge matroos varende op het pruisische kofschip de juffrouwe Martha thuis horende te Embden en Leendert van der Reijden loodsman voor de Maaze en Goedereede wonende binnen den Briel. Zij verklaren tvv degene die het aangaat dat zij met het voormelde schip op 01/12/1797 ter reede van den Briel voor anker lagen, terwijl 2 a 3 scheepslengten achter hun schip mede ten anker lag het kofschip de Goede Hoop met schipper Harmen Roseman. Zij hebben het anker gelicht en zijn door sterke storm tegen het voormelde kofschip aangevaren waardoor schade is ontstaan.

Leendert van der Reijden loodsman wonende alhier behorende tot de boot Brielle attesteert tvv degene die het aangaat dat hij op 5 dezer aan boord van de Koufhandel is gekomen met schipper Aart Reedijk liggende in de put. Zij zeilden die dag in de middag naar zee doch werden daartoe gehinderd omdat ze door twee loodsboten en een vissersschuit gewaarschuwd werden dat er een Franse kaper voor het gat lag. Hij is daara op de 7e dezer met het schip naar de rede van den Briel teruggezeild.
