Ble arrestert 2. november 1942 og Batt først 5 uker på Spillum. Ble deretter sendt til Oslo, var først på Møllergata 19, senere på Akershus, og derfra ble han sendt til Tyskland. Satt i tukthus i Hamburg, og døde 28. desember 1943 på Sentrallasarettet der.
