Volgens de overlijdensacte was Durk ongehuwd. De acte vermeldt als geboorteplaats Dokkum. Durk treedt regelmatig op als getuige bij de geboorte- of overlijdensaangifte van kinderen van zijn broer Andries.

Notes about Allardus "Elardus" Andries de Winkel

Het overlijden van Allardus wordt door zijn beide zoons Andries (33 jaar) en Durk (30) aangegeven. De toevoeging van het patroniem "Allardus" bij hun grootvader is opvallend; de opgegeven leeftijd (moet zijn 71 i.p.v. 73 jaar) correspondeert niet met het geboortejaar. Uit de Speciecohieren van Idaarderadeel blijkt dat Allardus vanuit Lekkum naar Grouw is gaan wonen. In 1792 is vermeld:
"No 65 Roelof Roelofs ... woont nu op no 37 Pag: 32
in plaats Alardus Andries van Lekkum bin: ..."
Volgens de Speciecohieren van Leeuwarderadeel blijkt dat Allardus tussen 1787 en 1791-2 te Lekkum onder (huis?)nummer 48 heeft gewoond:
"48 Sybren Jans Erven, vertrokken ...
nu Allardus Andries van onder Huijsum van ... 115",
vanaf 1778 te Huizum:
"115 Allardus Andries van Goutum N 6",
en vanaf zijn huwelijk (1775) te Goutum:
"6 Tjerk Oenes vertrokken na Warraga, nu
Alardus Andries van Rodahuisum".
Voorts is uit de Speciecohieren af te leiden dat Allardus boer was; de omvang van zijn bedrijf neemt bij elke verhuizing toe (in Goutum 4, Lekkum 7 en Grouw 12 koeien).
