Notes about Jacobus Gerardusz (Gerschen) Vaeremaet (Vermaet)

Hij was schepen van Oud Gastel. Als weduwnaar van Tanneken Cornelis van Breda werd hij voogd en zijn broer Joost Geertsen Vaermaet toeziende voogd over zijn weeskind Christofora Vaermaet. Zij verklaarden tot een akkoord te zijn gekomen in verband met de uitkoop van het moederlijke goed van het kind. De weduwnaar, Jacobus Geraards Vaermaet, bleef in het volle bezit van de boedel onder voorwaarde het kind op te voeden en op achttienjarige leeftijd de som van 200 gulden te betalen.
