Notes about Janet Galt

1. "Homely Musings, by a Rustic Maiden" (Jane Stevenson) written in 1870, downloaded from https://archive.org/details/homelymusingsby00stevgoog

The book describes part of the authors life, visiting various family residences, on her travels around Ayrshire. Jean/Jane Stevenson's Grandmother, Mary Galt, is Janet Galts sister, her Great Grandmother is Helen Young, Great Grandfather is John Galt.
The book does not mention Janet by name, she is named only as another of Jane Stevensons Great Grandmother's daughters and also states that she was married to a man named Hamilton, who was a Mason, who lived at Parkneuk, at the foot of Craigie Hill. Jane Stevenson was unsure of his Christian Name. (Page 75)

Further investigation found Janet Galt married to Robert Hamilton, living in Parknook (Parkneuk), in 1785. (see below)
