Notes about Janet Robertson

1. Ref Scottish Coalmining Ancestors by Lindsay S. Reeks
JANET ROBERTSON was bp. 18 Jul. 1686, res. Over Noorton, Largo p., dau. of James Robertson & Margt. Duncan. She m. 18 Aug. 1710, Largo p., Andrew Archibald, after being proclaimed 22 Jul. [172]. It is believed this m. relates to ancestor, as her first son was named James and her second dau., Margt. As in Scoonie KSM on Andrew Archibald, the family moved to Scoonie p. from Largo p. ca. 1717-19, and on 25 Feb. 1750 Janet was given a shilling per month as Andrew Archibald's widow in the coalhill, as her husband had been killed by a fall into one of Duries coalpits [171].
