Notes about Margaret Wilson

1. Note, the 1881 Ancestry Census, does not have all inmates names recorded. There are only 100 names in the Census. The full list, which records 133 residents, can be found in the website http://www.workhouses.org.uk/Kirkcaldy/Kirkcaldy1881.shtml [1881 Census: Residents of Kirkcaldy Combination Poorhouse]
In the 1881 census there is a Margaret Wilson, age 35, born in Kirkcaldy, an inmate in Kirkcaldy Poorhouse, Kinghorn. There is also a male child James age 4, born Kirkcaldy, born 1876, a female child Margaret aged less than a month, born Kinghorn, 1881.
Margarets father, James in 1881 is unable to work. As she has been carrying a child, she cant work either. Perhaps this is our Margaret. Margaret is recorded as being unmarried.
A check on Scotlands people finds a James Wilson born 1876, to Margaret Wilson. The child is born Illegitimate, in West Bridge, Kinghorn. This takes care of James.
Cannot find register of birth of young Margaret, born Kinghorn in 1881 in either Scotlands People or LDS. Margaret may not be the daughter of Margaret Wilson! See note 3.
