Notes about Margaret Noble

1. William Noble (brothers birth in 1823) states that his Father & Mother are William Noble and Agnes Hush. It is presumed that Agnes & William are siblings. Williams father is a Molecatcher.

2. William Noble, Father William Noble, Molecatcher, and Mother Agnes Hush.
It is likely that these are Margaret Noble's parents, as William Noble's occupation was a Molecatcher when Margaret and Thomas Reid are married in 1836.

3. Register of Marriages for 1836, St Cuthbert's, Reid and Noble, 16 May, 1836

4. Margaret Noble spent 3 days in Jedburgh Prison for theft or reset (RESET OF THEFT, Scotch law. The receiving and keeping of stolen goods knowing them to be stolen, with a design of feloniously retaining them from the real owner.)

5. A death record has been found for Margaret. She is recorded as being a Widow, but her husbands name is not recorded. It also does not record her parents names. She is recorded as a Pauper in Hawick Poorhouse. A search for Deaths of Margaret Reid or Noble in Roxburgh was unsuccesful.
