    Petrus Brongersma, zoon van Henricus en Johanna, werd gedoopt op 29 september 1646 in de Akerk in Groningen. Hij werd op 30 januari 1663 ingeschreven als student en was van 1674-1686 predikant in Menkeweer en van 1686 tot zijn dood in 1690 van Warfhuizen. Petrus trouwde op 29 april 1676 in Groningen met Henrica Bartholomeus Snippe, gedoopt op 3 november 1657 in de A-kerk, overleden in maart 1722, dochter van Hendrick Bartholomeus Snip(pe) uit de Folkingestraat in Groningen) en Berentjen Crijns uit Groningen. Deze Hendrick was mogelijk de zoon van Harmen Bartholomeus die uit Altona bij Hamburg afkomstig was, lezen we in 1938 in De Navorscher. Harmen kreeg in 1625 het klein burgerrecht in Groningen en in 1644 het giltrecht. Op 25 mei 1639 verkoopt hij de helft van een Tichelwerk (steenfabriek) in Finsterwolde.
