    - IIIx 96 fol.231 - 29 juni 1719 - Lijsabet Entrup, weduwe van Jan Hovingh [!], als moeder ter ener, en Wessel Titsingh, als voormond, en Kars Veltman, als voogd over het minderjarige kind van Jan Hovingh bij Lijsabet Entrup, ter andere zijde. Ze maken een afkoop m.b.t. de nalatenschap van de vader Matth. Hovingh[!]. De moeder behoudt de gehele boedel. Ze zal haar zoontje Jan Hovingh, oud 4 jaar, tot zijn 18e jaar onderhouden. Daarna zal ze aan de voogden uitkeren 1.400 car.gld. met het vaders lijfstoebehoren.

    Evenals zijn vader Matthias Hovinck was Jan Hovinck koperslager. Op 17 mei 1749 werd hij toegelaten tot het gilde. Hij wordt dan vermeld als: "Jan Hoving, een meesters zoon".
