Ze maken een afkoop m.b.t. de nalatenschap van de moeder. De stiefvader behoudt de gehele nalatenschap. Uitgezonderd de halve behuizing bij Poelepoortenbrugge, waarvan het kind de andere helft behoort. Het kind ontvangt eveneens de moeders lijfstoebehoren.
