    In het jaar 1775 stierf Hinrich Pieters Swart, een van de beide toenmalige vermaners van de Neustadtgödense Mennonietengemeente, en de ambtszaken rustten voortaan alleen op de schouders van de leraar Lubbert Jans Kreemer. Na de dood van Kreemer - die sinds 1779 ernstig ziek moet zijn geweest - op 2 juni 1781, bleef de gemeente de volgende twee jaren vacant. Waarschijnlijk werden in deze tijd de kerkdiensten door de beide diakens Edo Tobias van Eden en Albert Pieters Swart geleid.
