    Al in 1704 droeg bijvoorbeeld Titia Risemius, vrouw van de goud- en zilversmid Frans de Booser, zijden schorten en een dito sluier. Zij droeg een gouden haarnaald. Daarnaast had ze een zilveren tasbeugel.

    Vrouwen van de Verenigde Waterlanders en Vlamingen in de stad Groningen legden al omstreeks 1730 hun zilveren oorijzers af. De vrouw van bierbrouwer Tonnis Lammerts Clemmius bezat één in 1702. De eerder genoemde Titia Risemius eveneens. Haar exemplaar woog 25¼ loot (een loot zilver woog ongeveer 14 gram). Het had een geschatte waarde van 25,50 gulden.
