    Willem Kornelis Hofman trouwde in 1872 met Fokeltje Aalfs. Het echtpaar nam toen de molen over van Kornelis Willems Hofman, de vader van Willem Kornelis Hofman. In 1895 werd de molen zelfzwichtend (met de wind meedraaiend) gemaakt en in 1897 werd er overgeschakeld op stoomkracht. Hofman vertrok in 1900 naar Plankensloot. De molen is in 1905 afgebrand en niet herbouwd. Molen en molenaarswoning zijn later afgebroken.
