    Kornelis Willems Hofman was barkmulder (pelmolenaar) te Enumatil, kreeg op 6 juli 1834 een vergunning voor de bouw van een pelmolen. Op 13-05-1845 werd aan hem (tevens al eigenaar van de pelmolen) een vergunning afgegeven voor een oliemolen,een achtkante bovenkruier met stelling. In 1847 werd deze molen verbouwd tot pel- en roggemolen. Tijdens de storm in de nacht van 5 op 6 februari 1863 werd de molen zwaar beschadigd. Zijn zoon Willem Kornelisz. Hofman trouwde in 1872 met Fokeltje Aalfs; het echtpaar nam toen de molen over. In 1895 werd hij zelfzwichtend (met de wind meedraaiend) gemaakt en in 1897 werd er overgeschakeld op stoomkracht. Hofman vertrok in 1900 naar Plankensloot. De molen is in 1905 afgebrand en niet herbouwd. Molen en molenaarswoning zijn later afgebroken.
