    Reene Cornelis, mogelijk een dochter van Cornelis Hemmes, landbouwer op de Zomerdijk, en Fosse. Reene overlijdt na 18 mei 1668. Het is mogelijk dat zij de Reene is, die lidmaat is van de Vlaamse gemeente binnen Groningen, als weduwe van Claes Carstiens, in 1676. Niet onwaarschijnlijk is, dat Reene een zuster is van Richt Cornelis, wonende bij de Schevetil aan het Zijldiep. Richt heeft namelijk connecties met Jacob Joesten Glimmer, vermaner der Jonge Vlaamse gemeente binnen de stad Groningen.

    Vanaf 1 november 1673 betaalt de weduwe van Claes Carstiens de gemeentelijke belasting voor de burgerwachten in de stad Groningen. Zij wordt dan vermeld als: "Claes Carstiens weduwe 1 jaer, 6-0-0".
