rn in Prestwold, England. Married Amy Anne KEMPE daughter of Thomas KEMPE of Kent and Dorothy (Thompson) KEMPE of Kent. Father of Lady Diana Skipwth Dale and others.
The "Inquisitio post mortem" (enquiry after death) of Sir Henry Skipwith's father (Sir William Skipwith) records the marriage of Sir Henry Skipwith to Amy Kempe as having taken place at Olantigh, near Wye, Kent (the 'Seat' of the Kempe family) on 18 July 1609.Sir Henry Skipwith was born at Prestwold, Leicestershire on 21 March 1589.Amy, the daughter of Sir Thomas Kempe, was born at Olantigh on 6 August 1591. She died in 1631 and was buried at Prestwold on 7 September 1631.

Sir Henry married his second wife, Blandina Acton at the Church of St. Mary, Woolnoth, London, on 2 May 1639. They did not have any children. Sir Henry died in 1655. Sir Henry was buried at St Helen's, Stapleford
