    Evert's Mother was Arnolda Johanna Jentink, B: 04 Jan 1804 in Winterswijk Parish, Gelderland Province, Holland, D: Soon after the family's arrival in the U.S. in 1847. She died before the 1850 census. The story has been that she died at sea on the voyage from Holland; however, she is shown on the passenger manifest as being alive upon her arrival in NY in 1847. It is not currently known if she made it to Wisconsin with the rest of the family or not.

    Evert's first wife was Helena van de Wege, B: 30 May 1841 in Hoek Gemeente, Zeeland Province, Holland, D: Jul 1902, probably in Nebraska. Married to Evert on 26 Jun 1858 in Holland Twp., Sheboygan Co., WI.
