Herman Shelly Year 1759 As noted under Jacob Shelly, Christian acquired 183 acres of land in Rapho Twp., from his brother February 1, 1759. Year 1770 Year 1796 Christian and Magdalena subsequently transferred title to the land obtained from brother Jacob, to Christian, Jr. Christian's signiture on the deed is in German, Magdalena used a mark. Deed acknowledged May 17, 1782, recorded March 2, 1796 ( Deed Book 20, Page 628, Lancaster Co., Pa. ). This land, presently known as the old Christian Shelly farm, remained in the family for several generations. there is a family burial plot on this land. This plot we be referred to as Shell's Graveyard.
