      Robert M. Woodard, 40, of Raleigh, passed away at Western Wake-Cary on Saturday, December 22, 2012 after a brief illness. Born January 4, 1972, in Raleigh, NC, he was the son of Katherine Woodard Raper. He attended Governor Morehead School and graduated from Athens Drive High School. He earned both undergraduate and graduate degrees from UNC-Greensboro. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his aunt and uncle, Elizabeth and David Bowden, special friends Julz, Roxann, Kaye, Spruill, and his beloved cat, Minerva. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by City of Oaks Cremation, LLC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607 or by going to www.hospiceofwake.org <http://www.hospiceofwake.org>.
