1893 : The Sydney Morning Herald, Saturday 18 February 1893: ASHBURY - Births February 6, at her residence, View St, Woolwich, the wife of George E ASHBURY, of a daughter.
1911 : The Sydney Morning Herald Tuesday 19 December 1911: A successful pupil: Doris Ashbury, who distinguished herself at the recent senior examination, commenced her scholastic career by wining a scholarship for the Sydney High School in 1906. She was then attending the Kensignton Public School, and came 1st in a the list of successful candidates from public schools. She went to the Girl's high school in the beginning of 1907. In 1908 she as top of the junior class, and in 1909 passed first of the junior examination candidates from the GHS, being ?? acc to medal; in German, English and arithmetic. Doris Ashbury was equal with Katharine N Murray [also of the GHS] for the Fairfax prize at the senior examination where she obtained honours in french, German, Latin, English, algebra, geometry, trigonometry & mechanics.
1913 : Married Lewis NOTT in Hunters Hill, New South Wales, Australia.
1970 : Died in Red Hill, Canberra, Capital Territory, Australia.

Doris was born 6 Feb 1893 Woolwich, died 4 Oct 1970 at Morling Lodge, Red Hill, Canberra, ACT and was buried at the Norwood Park Crematorium Rose Garden.
Doris MARRIED LEWIS WINDERMERE NOTT, medical practitioner, politician on 25 Jul 1913 at Woolwich. Doris and Lewis were MARRIED at GÅ ???????Arden LeaGÅ ???????? View St, Woolwich, her uncleGÅ ??????à?????????????/s house, by Mr George Walters from the Uniting Church with John Atlee-Hunt, Leo Bamber and George Ashbury as witnesses. At the time Doris was a student living with her aunt at Kensington.
Lewis, the son of Frederick Lewis NOTT [planter], and Jean BLAIR, was born 12 FEB 1886 Bundaberg, Queensland, died 27 OCT 1951 Melbourne, Vic. and was buried in the Presbyterian Section, Woden Cemetery, Canberra, Capital Territory, Australia.
The Notts travelled to England shortly after they were married. World War 1 started so Lewis enlisted in the Royal Scots and Royal Australian Medical Corps. He was mentioned twice in dispatches. Lewis finished his medical studies in 1918.
After they returned to Australia the Notts settled in Queensland. Doris became the wife of the Federal Member for Capricornia, centred on Mackay, Queensland, from 1925 to 1928. Finally the Notts settled permanently in Canberra where Lewis became the first Medical Superintendent of the local hospital from 1929 onwards.
Derick died at a private hospital in Sydney. His funeral left GŠ???????WindermereGŠ???????? 20 Spofforth St, Cremorne. This was the home of John Atlee-Hunt, possibly a relative of Lewis. At the time the Notts were living temporarily at GŠ???????The NookGŠ???????? Point Rd, WOOLWICH near DorisGÅ ??????à?????????????/ grandparents.
John died at 4 Werambie St, WOOLWICH which is given as the address of his parents. This was the home of DorisGÅ ??????à?????????????/ aunt who had died several months previously.
In Canberra the family lived initially at Forrest. In 1939 they moved to GŠ???????LindisfarneGŠ????????, Canberra, but soon afterwards they moved to GŠ???????WindermereGŠ????????, Balmain Cres, ACTON. The family remained here until after the death of Lewis when they shifted to 17 Weston St, YARRALUMLA.
