Op het tramstation alhier had zondagmiddag een ongeval plaats, dat erge gevolgen had kunnen hebben, doch gelukkig zeer goed afgeloopen mag worden genoemd. Bij het rangeeren geraakte de conducteur H. Zweers uit Hardenberg voor de in beweging zijnde locomotief, door welke hij gegrepen werd en een eindje meegesleurd. Op zijn geroep kon de machinist gelukkig nog tijdig genoeg stoppen, waardoor Zweers uit zijn netelige positie werd verlost. Hij kwam er boven verwachting goed af.
