Het echtpaar kreeg elf kinderen, waarvan er slechts vier de volwassen leeftijd bereikten. Toen Jacoba in 1809 overleed waren ze echter nog minderjarig en daarom werd een inventaris opgemaakt van de nagelaten goederen o.a. bestaande uit een h uis aan de Kerk en een perceel akkerland, in 1794 het eigendom geworden van Jan bij de erfdeling van de goederen van zijn ouders
