Mary Stewart, living 1458; m. (3) before 1416 (as his 2nd wife), SirWilliam Graham, Knight, of Kincardine, taken prisoner at the battle ofHomildon Hill, 14 Sep 1402, auditor in Exchequer 1405-1418, d. 1424.[Magna Charta Surties]

He [George Douglas] m., contract dated 24 May 1397, the Lady MaryStewart, 2nd daughter of Robert III, by Annabel, daughter of Sir JohnDrummond, of Stobhall. He was taken prisoner at the battle of HomildonHill, and d. of the pestilence in England, in the same year, 1402. Hiswidow m. 2ndly, 1404, Sir James Kennedy the younger, of Dunure. He waskilled vp. before 8 Nov 1408. In July 1409 his widow had Papaldispensation to m. (as his 2nd wife) Sir William Cunningham, but there isno clear evidence that the marriage ever took place. He d. between 7 Aug1413 and Dec 1415. She m. 3rdly (as his 2nd wife) 13 Nov 1413, SirWilliam Graham, grandfather of Patrick, 1st Lord Graham, who d. 1424. Shem. 4thly, 1425, Sir William Edmonstone, of Duntreath. She was living1458, having had issue by all four husbands, and was buried with her lasthusband, in the Church of Strathblane.
