    Emma Banna Brooks, 64, of Henderson, died Monday, July 08, 2019, at her home.

    Born in Roxboro, on May 20, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Wesley Hall Brooks and Myra Huff Brooks.

    Banna was a graduate of Louisburg College, a member of First United Methodist Church, and an avid UNC Tarheel fan. Following her college graduation, she worked for NC State until 1980 when she began working in the Vance County Clerk of Superior Court’s Office. Banna retired earlier this year from that office as Assistant Clerk of Court.

    A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, July 13, 2019, at Burchwood Cemetery, (Old Durham Road, Roxboro, NC 27573) at 11:00 AM by Rev. Carolyn Roy.

    Banna is survived by her cousins and extended family as well as numerous life-long, loving friends.

    The family would like to express sincere thanks to Gracie Scales for her 20 years of dedicated care-giving and companionship.

    The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.

    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ruin Creek Animal Protection Society, 165 US Hwy 158 Bypass, Henderson, NC 27537, or First United Methodist Church Henderson, 114 Church St., Henderson, N.C. 27536.
