    James Simpson Dobbins is the son of George Erastus Dobbins and Nora Lee Chamblee. He was the fourth of their six children and their only son.

    He is the grandson to Adam Wiley Dobbins & Martha Ann Brock Dobbins and Janie E. Chamblee.

    James was the brother to Maggie Ann, Mattie, Alice, Ollie Reed, Ruthie Mae, and Gladys.

    He married Idella Smith and together they had a son David Andrew.

    Mr. Dobbins died at the age of 71 years old in Bakersfield, California and is buried in the West Side District Cemetery.

    Arrangements were under the directions of Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.
