Ida & John Morris lived in Baird. Baird is not there now. It is not the Baird, TX, that we know now. She was Postmistress and they sold groceries and had gas pumps in front of the store. They lived in two rooms in the back. There was a big two-story building next door with six bedrooms upstairs. People had parties and dances downstairs. This story was told by Voneva Kirkpatrick Hull (Ida's granddaughter).
