    Full Obituary: Funeral services for DeRoy S. Knifley, 81 years of age, were held Thursday, November 22 at 1 p.m. from the Roley Christian Church with the Rev. Luther Young and Rev. James Prince in charge of the services. Burial was in the Roley Cemetery. The pallbearers were Loren Jones, Travis Knifley, Clelland Fergerson, Leroy Knifley, Junior Chelf, and Billy Burr Humphress. Mr. Knifley, son of the late Phillip and Charlotte Chelf Knifley, was born June 30, 1870 in Adair County, Ky. He died Tuesday, November 20 at 2:45 p.m. at his home near Casey Creek after a year's illness. He united in marriage to Almer Russell in 1896 and to this union seven children were born. His wife preceded him in death many years ago. In 1923 he united inmarriage to Mary Eliza White and to this union three children were born. Besides his wife, he is survived by four sons and six daughters: Luther Knifley and Mrs. Walter Tedder, both of Knifley; Mrs. Welby Chelf of Casey Creek; Gilbert Knifley, Route 1, Campbellsville; Mrs. A. C. Wheeler of Des Moines, Iowa; Mrs. William Blair, Mrs. Rufus Jones, Mrs. Becham Goode and Jasper Knifley, all of Wadsworth, Ohio; and Ewing Knifley of Yuma. He is also survived by three brothers, Joe Green Knifley ofKnifley, Welby R. Knifley of Campbellsville, and Tom Knifley of Kansas and many other relatives and friends.
