Hawise (or Helwise) de Lancaster, only child, Baroness Kendal, living Sep1226; m. bef. 20 Jul 1189, Gilbert Fitz Rogert Fitz Reinfrid, Lord ofKendal, 1189, who had m. (1) ca. 1156, Rohaise, daughter of William deRumare, and widow of Gilbert de Gaunt, who d. 1156. Gilbert was Stewardto Henry II, in France 1180-89, and later to Richard I; was justice ofthe King's Court 1185, sheriff of Lancashire 1205-1216, and of Yorkshire1209-1212, and d. bef. 13 Jun 1220. His father Roger Fitz Reinfrid, waswitness to the King's will, Judge 1176, 1198, sheriff of Sussex 1176, andof Berkshire 1186-7. [Ancestral Roots, line 88-27]
