    I.v.m. de stads uitbreiding, o.a. de wijken Spangen en Tussendijken is deze begraafplaats langs de Schie door de Gemeente Rotterdam voor 25.000 gulden gekocht van de Nederlands Hervormde Gemeente van Delfshaven.
    De Begraafplaats werd volledig geruimd en de Koopgraven en resten in 1945 / 1946 overgebracht naar Begraafplaats Crooswijk.
    Op Crooswijk is een speciaal vak, "VAK F" ingericht waar de meeste graven en resten zijn herbegraven.
    De resten van de huurgraven en kindergraven van de oude Begraafplaats langs de Schie zijn zeer waarschijnlijk in een verzamel graf herbegraven. Er bleek uiteindelijk onvoldoende plek om alle graven één op één over te brengen naar Crooswijk.

Notes about Wijve den Otter

Op 45 jarige leeftijd overleden in het Bergwegziekenhuis tijdens een Gal-operatie.
Na het trekken van een kies bleek dat ze kanker had.
Arie en Mien waren al getrouwd toen hun moeder kwam te overlijden.
Zie foto van het huwelijk tussen Oom Arie en Tante Bets, op deze foto zit er een (verlovings)ring aan de rechterhand van oom Paul.
