2 februari 1733 compareren voor notaris P. de Ruijter Herbert Ruts, koopman wonende even buiten Dordrecht onder de jurisdictie van De Mijl, enerzijds en Maarten Broeksmit, zaagmolenaar wonende mede aldaar, anderszijds. Zij verklaren overeengekomen te zijn, dat de tweede comparant voor twintig achtereenvolgende jaren, ingaande 1 febr. 1733 molenaar zal zijn op de zaagmolen van de eerste comparant, op voorwaarde, dat hij voor eigen rekening goede en bekwame knechts in dienst zal nemen, waarvoor hij zal genieten de helft van de winst, alsmede de inwoning van het bijbehorende huis en na verloop van tien jaar een bedrag van 200 gl.
