POMPE (Michiel) (2), later Pompe van Meerdervoort, geb. te Dordrecht 22 Jan. 1613 (aldus Balen en grafzerk; volgens Ned. Adelsboek: in Maart), overl. te Dordrecht 9 Dec. 1639 en begr. in de Gr. Kerk, Meerdervoortskapel; zoon van Michiel (1) hiervoor, en van Maria Sasbout. Hij was heer van Meerdervoort en werd bij diploma van 15 Juli 1637 door koning Karel I van Engeland in den adelstand verheven. Hij nam den toenaam en het wapen van Meerdervoort aan en kreeg de roos in het wapen.

Pompe studeerde sedert 7 Mei 1630 te Leiden in de philosofie, werd schepen van Dordrecht in 1638, veertigraad 1638 en gecommitteerde ter admiraliteit van Zeeland 1639.

Hij huwde te Dordrecht 17 Nov. 1637 met Adriana de Beveren, geb. aldaar 1 April 1618, en overl. 2 Aug. 1678 en bij haar man begraven, dochter van Cornelis, heer van Strevelshoek en West IJselmonde, en van Christina Pijll. Hieruit twee kinderen: Michiel (2 Oct. 1638-29 Nov. 1653) en Cornelis Pompe van Meerdervoort, die volgt.
